(LATE, LATE) baby caturday

hello!

by now, you have lost all hope in me. "what is this travesty?" you cry, while giving me the Eyeball of Sadness. it is, my friends, the Dreaded Work. it was the Dreaded Work that kept me from posting even a measly little post on Saturday, or Sunday, or even Monday. and now that the deadline has passed for the Dreaded Work and it has been handed in, the Dreaded Exams threaten to take its place! but, "NO!" i cry! i will not let this be! i must and i will post my caturday post!

...and so here we are.

ahem.

after that dramatic introduction, i'd love to introduce you to the theme for this past caturday. it is babies. (you know, the cat version. so kittens.)

why, you ask?

well, on Friday the beautiful Sophia Renee Flores (the baby of my cousin) was born, and it is pretty much one of the most important things of all time. she is a beaut. see here:

with her auntie Andrea (the two princesses, it might be told)

with her wonderful grandmama, Celia...

...and with her dad Josh (right) and her uncle Joe and the two ladies... (minus dear Rachel)

sweet princess, right? :)

i thus decided that this caturday ought to be sweet baby caturday in Sophie's honour, and so it shall.

cue roll of cute baby kitties!

cute kittens

none as cute as Sophia, i know... but still pretty cute ;)

and now, of course, for some kitten videos... because let's face it, my post wouldn't be the same without them. watch and see:

AND MY FAVOURITE...

*poom*

time to sleep :) good night, everyone! hope you're having a royally awesome week so far :)

belated caturday: getting through

so. this time round, i'm not even a day late... i'm TWO whole days late. TWO. this is how ridiculous my life has gotten. urgh!

with this in mind, i have a copy-paste caturday to share with you, with very little original input from yours truly. however, you should still love it... and if you don't, you aren't human. k, that's all.

(this was sent to me via the really wonderful Natalie-friend, who deserves much credit for being her beautiful self. onwards.)

Herewith follows a BuzzFeed page entitled, "How To Overcome Anything". seems appropriate.

Having a bad day? Maybe you need a friend to jump in and help you out.

Sometimes LIFE happens and we have no clue how to react.

You might be a little overwhelmed at first.

Or, like, really freaked out.

But that's totally OK, because everyone has days where they're blindsided.

What's important is remembering that you're awesome...

...and can handle any challenge that comes your way...

...because you are innovative and quick on your feet.

Sometimes being innovative means there's a risk of failure...

...or that you might fall a bit short...

...but remember not to beat yourself up about it.

It's more likely that you're going to kick this obstacle's butt!

So get busy...

...because you're totally going to nail it...

...and you'll get the recognition you deserve for it, too!

The rest will be smooth sailing :)

how awesome was that, right?! totally worth the extra two days it took me to get my act together and post it :P if you'd like to see the original post (that i 100% plagiarised), click here. otherwise, have an amazing week! (and do bear us Journ kids in mind if you have a moment... i'm still struggling to comprehend that all of this work is a real thing >.< )

caturday: the FWP edition

hi, y'all!

i know, i know, i know...  i'm late with this post again :/ now's the time when you cue the image of me sitting in La Tratoria (an AMAZING Italian restaurant) last night with the most wonderful company, food, drinks, music, dancing and the main thought running through my head being, "oh no, i haven't posted for caturday yet... darn it!" First World Problems much? ;)

but before we get into the post (and i've given you a bit of a hint regarding what it's about, haha!) i have a video for you to watch that will hopefully make you forgive me for being a day late ;) it is MAGIC, trust me...

i cannot handle it. as for the cats with the vacuum cleaners - WHAT? Gimli and Roo both hate the vacuum cleaner and run away from it. they would die before letting it GROOM them! whoozah!

anyway.

the theme for this week's caturday is (could you guess? ;) ) FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS! this is because, if i'm being perfectly honest, i can sometimes be the QUEEN of First World Problems. the QUEEN.

so, without further ado, the First World Problems... of cats.

First World Cat Problems: Do Something About This, Hoomin!

If you leave the bedroom door open...

...and if those weren't ENOUGH, someone decided that cats are SO uppity that they'd speak in Latin while bemoaning their first-world pains. SERIOUSLY.

"I could never catch the little red dot."

"I miss the Egyptians and my statues."

"Human bought me a new cat bed... I prefer the box."

"I don't know my name because I have so many nicknames."

"I've only been fed six times today."

whew. cats have a LOT of First World Problems, it appears. poor kids ;)

if you feel like an extra chuckle, watch this video - which is quite a few of these First World Problems and some others combined in the form of a cat's diary. it is legitimate.

...oh dear. now that that's done, i have a First World Problem of my own (school work to do - on a Sunday! what a travesty!) so i must bid you all adieu as well as a happy and beautiful Mothers' Day! :D

i love you, Mama!
